Dragon Spear CBRN RDAX 2024
17-21 November 2024
CONCEPT OVERVIEW
Operation Dragon Spear is a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) Research, Development, and Acquisition Experiment (RDAX) designed to enhance Joint Special Operations Forces (SOF) capabilities in countering weapons of mass destruction (CWMD).
By bridging gaps between SOF, CWMD, CBRN, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), joint forces, interagency partners, multinational allies, and industry, it promotes unity of effort and rapid technology transition from strategic to general-purpose forces. Leveraging future concepts, Dragon Spear reduces mission and force risk through both material and non-material experimentation, ultimately providing combatant commanders with adaptable options to operate and succeed in CBRN-contested environments.
