Jürgen Todenhofer, was a former member of the German Parliament. He turned journalistic report and managed to land himself a gig as an embedded reporter with the Islamic State of Syria and Iraq (ISIS).
Lining up the embed arrangement took him six-months of fraternizing with the enemy to ensure his safety. Once in the fray, he began his work of investigating the heart of the blood thirsty movement. What he learned is surprising on a multitude of levels.
