Was The Civil War About Slavery?

In a recent Facebook post by Prager University, Col. Ty Seidule offers his analysis on this subject hoping to end the debate about why the Civil War was fought.

What caused the Civil War? Did the North care about abolishing slavery? Did the South secede because of slavery? Or was it about something else entirely…perhaps states’ rights?

Col. Ty Seidule, history professor at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, settles the debate once and for all.

What are your thoughts after watching this video? Do you agree with the Colonel?
