Have you ever done something horrible like laughed a funeral? Or at a crying friend who was pouring his/her heart out? Yeah…me either (lie). Actually, I was in a school play my senior year, where I had to play a mother whose teenage daughter committed suicide. And yeah, I totally got the giggles while I was at my “daughter’s” funeral. It’s a nervous thing…I’m a terrible person, okay?
Well, this news story is one of those things that is actually quite terrible and a very good picture of our nations sickness, but it’s SO outrageous, that I can’t help but laugh.
It was ridiculous to me when kids started getting in trouble at school for toy guns. Then, we heard those stories of kids getting suspended for doing the hand gun sign. If that kind of thing happened when I was in 8th grade, I’d have been sent to juvie because I was very into my finger pistols (and as you can tell, I was totally uncool).
Well, here’s the latest what-the-what. The TSA seized a 2-inch toy gun from a toy monkey at airport security. The gun replica is smaller than a coin. Redonkulous, right? Well, this is what really gets me. The TSA issued a statement in response, saying,
“Under longstanding aircraft security policy, and out of an abundance of caution, realistic replicas of firearms are prohibited in carry on bags.
