After Paul Ryan’s Healthcare bill failed to garner the votes needed to pass, both the RINO’s and Trump placed the loss at the feet of the conservatives. As a result, Trump chose the establishment swamp over fulfilling his and the Republican 7-year promise of fully repealing Obamacare.
Needing a scapegoat, all have piled on the Freedom Caucus for not supporting Ryan’s “Obamacare Lite” bill. However, the caucus only made up 15 of 34 Republicans promising to vote “no”. So nineteen Republicans, more than in the Freedom Caucus, saw Ryan’s bill as bad. In addition, those 34 Republicans are going home to choruses of cheers by voters praising them for voting “no.”
Regardless, Thursday morning, President Donald Trump took to Twitter to threaten the Freedom Caucus.
The Freedom Caucus will hurt the entire Republican agenda if they don’t get on the team, & fast. We must fight them, & Dems, in 2018!
