Sheriff Calls Out ‘Veiled Threats’ Against Police Funding over Immigration Amnesty


Larimer County, Colorado Sheriff Justin Smith recently called out the veiled threats of Jeh Johnson, Obama’s Homeland Security Secretary.

According to Sheriff Smith, “The memo attempted to intimidate us into supporting the president’s dangerous an [sic]irresponsible executive actions establishing executive amnesty for millions of illegal aliens by threatening to cut public safety grants if Congress didn’t rubber stamp the president’s executive overreach in the 2015 DHS budget, being debated under the Capitol dome currently.”

Smith called the letter a “veiled threat.”

“His letter made it clear that if Congress didn’t send President Obama the DHS funding bill that he wanted (rubberstamping the president’s executive amnesty), local and state public safety agencies would not receive federal grants they were counting on because the president would veto the DHS funding bill,” said Smith.
