Senator Dan Coats blasts Canadian Cruz: “He’s the most self-centered, narcissistic, pathological liar I’ve ever seen”

Senator Dan Coats skewered Canadian Cruz after his self-promoting, 2020 campaign speech at the Republican National Convention, during which he refused to endorse Donald Trump for president.

It was Trump who gave the free prime time air to the Canadian. Expecting an endorsement and call for party unity, instead the crowd of GOP faithful were treated to a boring, egocentric, blah-blah line of BS, and never the endorsement they were demanding. When the decibel level of the booing reached its crescendo, Canadian Cruz simply grinned that stupid vampire grin, walked off the stage, and hopefully into history, where he deserves not even a footnote.

Sen. Dan Coats issued a blistering rebuke Thursday of fellow Sen. Ted Cruz, who set off an unprecedented uproar at the Republican National Convention last night with his refusal to endorse Donald Trump.

Coats said of the Canadian: “He’s the most self-centered, narcissistic, pathological liar I’ve ever seen — and you can quote me on that.” At 73 years of age and with nearly 30 years on Capitol Hill, Coats has seen A WHOLE LOT of self-centered, narcissistic, pathological liars. The Canadian can take pride in being at the very top of that list. Wow! Worse than Barack Hussein in Coats’ view.

“I think what people saw last night is what we have seen in the Senate. No matter how conservative you are, you never can meet Ted’s standard,” Coats told IndyStar. “He only thinks of himself, he doesn’t think about party. He’s a wrecking ball.”

But Coats, who is finishing his final term as Indiana’s senior senator, was only warming up.

“He’s the most self-centered, narcissistic, pathological liar I’ve ever seen — and you can quote me on that,” he said.

His comments came at a breakfast for the Indiana delegation to the convention and were part of a chorus of criticism from GOP officials.

Coats stinging rebuke follows Cruz’s prime-time convention speech last night. When it became clear that the Texas senator and runner-up for the GOP presidential nomination would not endorse Trump, the convention hall erupted with jeers and booing.
