I want to state from the very outset that I am not Catholic. I disagree with almost every major doctrine the Catholic Church has. So I am not their biggest fan by any stretch of the imagination. But it is one thing to misunderstand the Bible and another to be too stupid to see that you’re illogical. You see, though I think that the Catholic Church holds to many false doctrines, they are not illogical. But a group of their teachers and the City of San Francisco are very much illogical.
The Archdiocese of San Francisco is under attack from the San Francisco Board of Supervisors for insisting that Catholic schools teach Catholic doctrine.
This all began over morality clauses in faculty handbooks. Apparently, Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone wants teachers teaching at the Catholic schools in his Archdiocese to actually hold and live out Catholic morality. The backlash began with the faculty of the four Catholic schools in the San Francisco area.
