This Veterans Day, as American veterans of all wars are remembered, many organizations continue to strive to make America a safe and welcoming place for veterans to live.
When the call came to serve, American men and women answered and fought. They made extraordinary sacrifices for others, and some returned with catastrophic, debilitating injuries.
One organization, the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, created “Building for America’s Bravest Program” to build custom designed homes to help veterans with multiple injuries in need of unique assistance. The homes are energy efficient, automated and easily accessible—using “adaptive technology” to help the most severely injured veterans live better, more independent lives.
