On Wednesday night, President Obama sent out an email with the subject line, “What I signed today.”
Never mind the narcissist-in-chief’s failure to call his actions on Wednesday what they were, a disregard for the will of the American people and a major overstepping of his executive bounds. What the President did on Wednesday shows that he meant what he said in the SOTU, that he would be acting whenever and however he wanted to, all with the power of his pen. This first such show of personal force was an executive order raising the minimum wage for federal contract workers to $10.10/hour.
This is where the President’s email takes a strange, contradictory, and fallacy-ridden turn.
“The bottom line is this: We are a nation that believes in rewarding honest work with honest wages. And America deserves a raise.”
