Judicial Watch reported that Barack Obama appointed Rob Malley, the NSC [National Security Council] Coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa, to a new position– the Senior Advisor to the President for the Counter-ISIL Campaign in Iraq and Syria.
Malley was fired several years ago for meeting with the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, a group the U.S. State Department has long classified as a terrorist group.
Malley is now directed to “support our reinvigorated diplomatic track toward a political transition in Syria…”
Malley’s family had close ties to Yasser Arafat, founder of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and the Fatah movement. His father, Simon Malley, was a key member of the Egyptian Communist Party.
Over the years Malley has co-written a number of opinion columns with Hussein Agha, a former adviser to Arafat. His articles have condemned Israel, urged the U.S. to disengage from the Jewish state, and negotiate with its enemies Hamas, Hezbollah, and Muqtada al-Sadr.
