Make no mistake. Despite a drop-off in polling numbers among Barack Obama’s most ardent support group, blacks, he still enjoys a ridiculously high approval rating among this demographic. According to a Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll released last week, only(!) 78% of blacks now support Obama’s job performance. That is down from 88% in June and 93% in April.
This is not to suggest that some blacks aren’t waking up and smelling the hot chocolate. Writing at Independent Journal Review, Caleb Howe reports that “blactivists” (black activists) in Obama’s adopted hometown were less than enthusiastic about his presidency following Tuesday’s State of the Union address:
