House Committee Leaders Call for Investigation into Oregon Health Exchange


Oregon’s online health insurance exchange has been unable to enroll a single person. For this reason, members of the House and Energy and Commerce Committee have called for the Government Accountability Office to launch an investigation. There’s a lot more going on here than a failed website; ObamaCare is itself unworkable. But the White House and its allies in the media continue peddle the idea that the disastrous roll-out of the Affordable Care Act is jut a temporary.

Months after the start of open enrollment, Oregon’s online health insurance exchange was still not able to successfully enroll a single person. Energy and Commerce Communications and Technology Subcommittee Chairman Greg Walden (R-OR) told The Bend Bulletin, “‘This is an embarrassment for the state to have a website like this that doesn’t function. It’s extraordinary mismanagement.’”
