Politics reminds me of playing in the sandbox, friends would steal shovels, pails, toys and then tell stories to get out of trouble. I get thoroughly annoyed with Republicans criticizing the Democrats over the stupidest things. I have genuine reasons for disagreeing with Democrats, but I’m not going to participate in making a big deal out of issues that both sides are guilty of–and that is child-like games. No more name-calling. Period. It’s time we all address the problems without going to the level of a fool. What ever happened to respecting authority? Do we truly remember what America is all about? We say it’s Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. We stand firm in that. We need to ask ourselves something, are we fighting tyranny, or are we hating Obama? If it’s the second, you are wasting time.
I used to feel angry with people that would say we needed to respect our president. Then I asked myself this, “Do you really believe in God and support freedom for our country?” You see the bible tells us, “Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.” Now, there are a couple things I need to say about this.
(1) This doesn’t mean we sit around and do nothing; we just do it respectfully. (This doesn’t depend on whether our opposition is doing it respectfully; it’s our duty to act in respect regardless.)
