The event, produced by radio host and conservative pundit Don Smith and Tim Selaty Sr., founder of the Tea Party Community, will seek to gather support for the “Hands off Our Guns” (HOOG) petition, which unequivocally states that the people’s Second Amendment rights, to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. Tickets are available for $35 at www.handsoffourguns.com. All proceeds from the event will go to All American Veterans, which helps veterans start new businesses. The event sponsors include the National Rifle Association (NRA), Tea Party Community, Tea Party Tribune, McMillan Firearms, Patriot Ordinance Factory, Inc.(POF-USA), Breitbart, ACS Public Relations and Andy Ross.
“Recent high-profile shootings by criminals and the mentally unstable have provided the opportunity for the Government to try to justify new gun restrictions that are an infringement upon law abiding citizens’ Second Amendment rights,” stated Don Smith, radio show host and spokesperson for the “Hands Off Our Guns” petition drive. “We hope the public will turn out in force to let officials know that ‘we the people’ will not stand idly by while our Constitutional rights are being eroded.”
The “Hands off Our Guns” petition drive seeks to gather five million signatures, which will be delivered to House and Senate members once their goal is met.
