Gun-Control Group ‘Moms Demand Action’ Commends Chipotle’s “Gun Ban”

After an incident where an open carry group brought weapons into a Dallas location, Mexican food giant, Chipotle, is asking customers to leave their guns at home, reports Time.

The report adds that Chipotle released a statement saying people openly carrying guns in their stores, “(caused) many of our customer anxiety and discomfort.” Adding that, “because of this we are respectfully asking that customers not bring guns into our restaurants, unless they are authorized law enforcement personnel.”

Time reporters claim that Chipotle usually defers to local laws on the issue of firearms in their restaurants. However, they claim they, “don’t think it’s fair for employees to ask customers not to bring guns into stores.”
