“If you’re a terrorist, or a carjacker, you want unarmed citizens…
If you look at what happened in Paris, I’m not saying if more citizens had had guns it would have stopped the terrorists. But it sure might have helped.”
- Detroit Police Chief James Craig
“Your options are run, hide or fight. If you’re in a position to try and take the gunman down, to take the gunman out, it’s the best option for saving lives before police get there…”
- Washington, D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier
“With officers laid off and furloughed, simply calling 911 and waiting is no longer your best option. You could beg for mercy from a violent criminal, hide under the bed, or you can fight back… You have a duty to protect yourself and your family. We’re partners now. Can I count on you?”
- Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke
Law enforcement leaders across America are coming to a consensus on the best way to fight back against violent criminals and would-be terrorists. One by one they are beginning to recognize the folly in waiting for law enforcement to respond to a crime scene as a method of protecting an innocent populace from the violence of madmen and they all seem to be reaching the same conclusion…
We must arm the citizens.
If more sane citizens are armed, the crazies and radicals won’t get their shots off, because the simple truth is that the best defense against the “random” violence from a madman or the calculated attack of a terrorist is an armed citizenry that is ready, willing and able to defend itself from these evildoers.
Sadly today, our political leaders in Washington, D.C. and around the country are choosing to instead tie our hands and strip us of our God-given right to self-defense.
Despite opposition from many states and their citizens — and even Congressmen and pundits from both sides of the aisle – President Obama and his liberal gun-grabbing cronies continues to scheme to end our right to bear arms. Recently, Obama again threatened to take executive action on gun control before his time as President draws to an end.
Mr. President, instead of focusing your efforts on infringing upon the rights of law-abiding American citizens, you should be focusing on a new safety protocol: Arm the Citizens.
