Gallup recently released statistics tracking seniors who have shifted from Democrat to Republican in the last 20 years. The statistics show those seniors age 65-99 today with a 3% Republican advantage were the 45-79 year olds 20 years ago that held a 12% Democratic advantage. It is the current 18-29 demographic that reports the highest Democrat leaning percentage with an 18% Democrat advantage, but given the statistics this seems likely to be the most Democrat they will ever be. Historically, statistically speaking, as this demographic ages they will likely shift back and forth, but largely move in a Republican direction.
