Congress Probing Obama’s Last-Minute Deal With Kenya


A congressional investigation has been requested by lawmakers against President Obama and his last day in office.

The probe concerns the Obama administration’s $418 million U.S. weapons sale to Kenya on Jan. 19. The deal itself was privately handled following approval from the State Department and recognition from Congress.

Included in the deal was the granting of 14 weaponized planes to battle the terrorist group, al-Shabaab. The planes were designed by a novice weapons defense company based in Mooresville, N.C, named L3 Technologies. The planes cost approximately $237 million dollars to produce.
