Although news programs don’t report it and our leaders in government don’t publicly discuss it, we live in a world that is becoming a little more radioactive every day:
Japan’s Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, damaged by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami, was leaking 400 tons of radioactive groundwater into the Pacific Ocean each day. Operators of the power plant have recently stated that the groundwater is within legal safety limits.
