Britain is Officially Building a Wall to Keep Refugees Out


Britain’s new Immigration Minister Robert Goodwill  has confirmed Britain will soon begin building a “big, new wall” across the English Channel to hinder the flow of migrants invading the country. At a cost of £2 million ($2.6 million), the 13-foot-tall concrete barrier will replace the inadequate fencing that has failed to prevent migrants from jumping over to the other side from Calais, France.

“People are still getting through,” Goodwill told the Commons home affairs committee on Tuesday. “We have done the fences. Now we are doing the wall… We are going to start building this big, new wall as part of the £17 million package we are doing with the French. There is still more to do. We have also invested in space for 200 lorries at Calais so that they have somewhere safe to wait.”
