President Obama and the Obama Administration has no respect for the military or for Veterans who have served this country and in defending our freedoms, provided the opportunity for a young man from a broken mixed race family to rise up to become the most powerful man in the world. No thanks necessary, and none received from this arrogant, elitist, revengeful, entitled, petulant child of a leader.
Much like we saw during the so-called “sequester,” a hair-brained scheme of President Obama’s which with the help of his puppy-dog media he was able to blame on Republicans, we saw kids stopped from touring the White House while the President took trips to Hawaii and Africa on the taxpayer’s millions. Now, with the government shutdown, comes another opportunity to flex his power needlessly and shamefully: Veterans are being denied entry to visit the World War II memorial in Washington under the guise of the park being shut-down due to the Federal shut-down.
No doubt the White House is counting on their Leftists-in-arms, the major media, to spread the notion that the mean Republicans and their Ted Cruz-Tea Party led crusade backfired and prevented these Veterans from a long-planned heart-felt trip to the memorial.
Fact is, the White House knew these Veterans were coming and actually spent time and money making double-sure they wouldn’t be able to get near the memorial and spent more money preventing them from seeing the memorials to the wars they fought in. Yes, they are caught going well out of their way to stop these Veterans in a cynical effort to blame the government shut-down and get their political adversaries some bad press. Hat-tip to the Daily Caller:
The White House and the Department of the Interior rejected a request from Rep. Steven Palazzo’s office to have World War II veterans visit the World War II memorial in Washington, the Mississippi Republican told The Daily Caller Tuesday.
Palazzo helped the veterans commit an act of civil disobedience against the Park Service Tuesday, when the heroes stormed through barricades around the closed memorial.
The veterans were visiting the memorial as part of Honor Flight, a non-profit that provides veterans free transport to the nation’s capital to visit the memorials to the wars they fought in.
