Everyone remembers where they were on Sept. 11, 2001. But the further we move away from that date, the more the narrative of what happened that day is being altered by terrorist sympathizers. Children born since the attacks, and those yet to be born, are apt to have a very different sense of what went down.
As I wrote recently, the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill now offers a course titled “Literature of 9/11” the goal of which is to explain away the actions of terrorists, to paint them as fighters against an imperialist American regime.
But it’s more widespread than just that one course at one institution of higher learning. Andrea Peyser has a column today in the New York Post about how far we as a nation have come … but heading in the wrong direction. She writes:
