The hypocrisy of the left knows no bounds, either domestically or internationally. This past Tuesday, the 400-member Council of Amnesty International (AI) met in Dublin, Ireland. At this auguste conference of human rights advocates, they held a vote.
The vote was not to condemn American held prisoners at Gitmo, assuming there are any left. No, the vote was to pass a resolution “to adopt a policy supporting the ‘decriminalization of sex work’ around the world.” The secretary of AI said this was “not a decision that was reached easily or quickly,” but called it “a historic day for Amnesty International.”
The Coalition against Trafficking in Women (CATW) claims this new policy “would in effect advocate the legalization of pimping, brothel owning and sex buying – the pillars of a $99 billion global sex industry.”
