While she may not have been chosen as TIME’s Person of the Year, former Alaska Governor and GOP Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin is campaigning nonstop. This time it’s not for Veep and not for governor; rather she’s crisscrossing the nation touting her latest book, “Good Tidings and Great Joy: Protecting the Heart of Christmas. Palin’s quest to highlight and push back against the so-called “War on Christmas” has been rife with adventures that are typical for the former governor. Visits to some of the most iconic Christian-American places and people, jetting off for family time, even spending some time with the Robertson Family of Duck Dynasty fame. All of this amounts to another day in the life for Sarah Palin.

She’s one of the few politicians in America to have taken on the mainstream media and several pop culture icons, and won. The list of giants toppled from their news desks and soapboxes include Martin Bashir, Cher, Katie Couric, and Alec Baldwin. Never one to let the media define or change the narrative on her activities, she’s done a great job of telling her own story, and this latest book tour is no different. After all, who better to tell of Palin’s adventures than Sarah herself?
